Swedish Garage Punk and Burning Heart Records

For 16 years now Burning Heart records from tiny Orebro in Sweden have been releasing the best of the Swedish Garage Punk flavour.

My initiation was both Millencolin and No Fun At All (NFAA)in the mid-late 90's. These bands really did it for my mates and I at the time. A few years later as my interest waned The (International) Noise Conspiracy and The Hives get the Burning Heart label on my radar. Most of these bands have their biggest following outside of Sweden in Australia.

NFAA Rock. Here's 'Should Have Known' a post punk track that just builds and builds. Just before they broke up in one of their last gigs I got kicked out of their concert in 2000 for crowd surfing. I was reporting for Rave magazine at the time. I managed to get back in tho. "Oi dipshit...if you like working here then you'll lgo get your boss!"

Check out 2:12 until 2:52...fuckin awesome!

Millencolin are essentialyl Burning Heart records and this band is easily one of my top 10 important bands of all time. Here's a track called 'Leona'. Millencolin call themselves softcore and did well to stay away form that "emo" tag. Their songs struck a chord with my friends during our Uni days.

One more... Dance Craze ..yeah.. check 1.08 until 1.40!

The (International) Noise Conspiracy have awesome politics. They've picked up where RATM left off. Maybe I'll do a post about political music later. Here's "Smash it Up".

I only got into one of their records but this is a great Hives track.. Hate to say I told you so.
